I thought this this lovely porcelain round dresser box was a Limoge, but unfortunately not and found the marking on base confusing. It seems of good quality work, even the painting in centre of lid has been signed by the artist. I would appreciate any feedback from the experts in defining the mark. Another save ... hope you like it. :)

I would guess an Asian interpretation of Euro design judging by the raised lid decoration. It's very pretty none the less. :)

Thank you mikelv85, the mark M within a globe would be Asian? I haven't seen that before and not recognised through any books either. :( ..... although ..... the artwork is beautiful, the china is chunkier than European porcelain so yes, you could be on to something!

The mark that looks like an M over the globe also looks like a picture of a dove. Maybe it's both? I'm not sure if that will help with the search or not.

Good thinking swfinluv1 .. I hadn't considered a dove. Thanks for luv too!
