This is a model ship I purchased(Rescued) at an auction, so I don't know much about the history. The railings, lion on the bow, cannons, and stern are all made of some type of metal(Lead or pewter?) . The sails are cloth. It has 22 cannons on each side. All of the sails appear to be there. The name plate says "Fragata Espanola Siglo XVIII". The other tag says "ARTEMAR s.a., Rosellas 23-25, Hospitalet (barcelona), Made In Spain". From what I have learned, the Artemar co. that made this went out of business in 2000. There is a current Arte-mar co. in spain with no association with the dissolved company. It measures approx. 32" long x 22" high x 4-5" beam. I have done some extensive searching on the internet, but could not seem to find this ship. I have found some with similarities, but nothing made by this company. Is this Rare? It may need a small amount of restoration needed, but is in overall decent condition. What kind of value, if any is there on this item? I have hit a dead end. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
