Came across this little lady a few weeks ago. She is quite heavy, and after a wash down ( she is still a bit tacky) appears to have been painted in green and red at some stage. I assume she is the cook wearing an apron and either her hair is tied down or has a scarf around her head. In her left hand is what appears to be a tray with 4 red glasses and in her right hand what appears to be a very large spoon! just above her hand the spoon screws off into two pieces. She is standing on a small square piece of red vinyl (?)
Her face is enchanting and the metalworker seems to have captured the essence of kindness in this lovely lady's face. The piece is 19 cm H.

Lulu, Unfortunately, I still smoke and ashtrays are becoming more and more harder to find. I usually end up in a flea market or antique mall to find one.
I'll have to agree with you that she's definitely seen a few wild nights:)

I think my favourites would be the heavy glass pair with etched horse heads. Who would have thought back then in the "vintage" days our ashtrays would become collectible. LOL
