Thrift shop find, paid a whopping $24, condition is ok, no cracks or splits. But there is some silver paint on it as shown in photos. I saw Cokekid-4 post the one he got, gladly would have paid the additional $46 for the improvement in condition.

What does it say in the center divider?

      Hello spriteboy42
Sorry it took me so long to respond, The wife's got me on a tight leash here with Xmas closing in.
I believe it says " The New Consumers Case" Has a bit of silver paint over the last part of the sentence. I was told that this one is supposedly from either 1923 or 1927. But most I have seen like this one are more like the 1940s. Any help or info as always is greatly appreciated.
      Have a Merry Christmas!

      Hey and thanks Daddy_Nobucks
The link you gave me the other day was saying something about the trade mark. I thought this was a 1940s, but after looking at that site I started to wonder as the trade mark is still in the bottom of the C as opposed to being under the word. Ill have to go back and recheck your site. Thanks as always!

Your piece shows the transition of trademark detail placement from within long tail of first C to underneath the logo, which occurred in 1941. Not unusual to see pieces from that year with both variations. Makes them easy to date.
