    MARBLEHEAD
    (1 item)

Over the years I have collected everything from brass air pumps to old ice cream containers. As of late I have down sized to things found in thrift stores and yard sales. Above are a few things{marbles}} I found in a thrift store near my house. The first three marbles are hand blown marbles most likely from Germany. They have rough pontil marks. Some have white core with a beautiful web design on each. They are not perfectly round and are some what brittle. The next one is a stone marble perfect tigers eye semi precious stone drew my eyes to it. It is a gold and clear crystal so tech. It would be considered a eagles eye to some of you. What I love about this piece is the way the eye follows the light as it is moved and magnifies the colors around it. It is approx. 2 -3 in. in dia. The last is a near perfect cobalt blue probably pre-seventies two to three in. in dia. The first marbles shown all vary in size due to imperfections in the shapes. I also have a huge collection of vintage beer steins and coca cola items that I WILL SHARE LATER. I have very little knowledge on marbles, steins but I collect things on beauty and if they are old and very disposable or fragile.?kooky" huh

I came across 3 'marbles' very similar to yours in the first pic just 3 weeks ago and bought them. Mine are somewhere between spherical and egg shaped. I'm clueless on their origin, but would like to make an assumption that they may be a green horn glass blower project of sorts. Maybe a new student to this art form would do these as a glassblowing 101 project.
