It was a very White Christmas for us as we awoke to 20" of fresh new snow on the decks and driveway that had to be removed so we could get off the mountain to visit the Grandkids Christmas morning and get home to prepare dinner for the family gathering. The "get ups" are me with an original 1860s U.S. Military Officers Black Bear hide coat issued in the 1860s during the Indian - American war. The other big coat is a hand made Buffalo hide coat that has to weigh 30#-40#s but is warm enough to survive a very cold winter storm. The big mittens are coyote and keep my hands toasty while plowing snow. Mountain living in Utah isn't for sissies!
We just cleared 36" of new snow on Mon and Tues storms! That doesn't count the 17" we got a week ago. With last nights 20" of snow, White Christmas is right!!!

I've always wanted a buffalo coat. It's 23 here now. One wouldn't think that I am 60 miles from Los Angeles.

I don't if snow is a collectable but those coats must be unique!

Sure I'd be more comfortable there in July! 62 degrees and raining here in KY right now. Warmer yesterday. Crazy, unseasonably warm!

VERY cool coats and mitts! You certainly need them there and now.

The Bear skin 1860s is very rare and I have 2 of them & wonder why? Because I have only ever seen 3 in existence is the obvious reason. I should have traded it for the Pegasus when I had the chance but I just couldn't get myself to let go. Crazy old men!

Rain is good but the clouds in Portland are depressing and that's where we are today. Had to chase down some signs! I love the hunt
