    This sword was found wrapped in cowhide was the only item found. No one in my family knows anything about it. I heard from my dad that great granddad was a mason. Other than that i havent a clue of its orgin.

      The "Italy" mark and very crude detailing of the hilt would make me believe it is a modern souvenir piece.
