Collectoma…
(68 items)
I decided a few weeks ago I should start collecting books that may be of value. It's just one more area to search in the thrift stores I figured so why not. I had minimal criteria to go with, but I knew I was maybe looking for old first publication items in nice condition. I didn't find anything until today, and here is my first book for the collection.
First published in Britain in 1919 I believe, this is a nicely translated version from Berlin 1937. Even the pull out map in the back is translated.
John Rushworth Jellicoe was a Royal Navy officer. This book, although I have not read it yet will describe this mans actions as an Admiral during several battles including his efforts during WW 1.
Perhaps a 'must read' for German naval officers in 1937 ?
Hmmmm, might have been as you suggested. That's a sound idea, worth researching
