A great example of coca-cola advertising on TV and radio. When they didn't have commercials on TV, companys would advertise on Television by sponsoring shows like old western shows, or radio programs like Eddie Fischer. It's in great condition too.
Ah, kid.......did you really read what you posted? Sponsoring a show means you have Ads......and Ads are commercials.........I think this is a 'tie in' probably a premium for sending in something or buying a six pack, something like that, Really great item and glad to see it survived, most of these got trashed from being worn and washed so many times !,,........... :-)
It is from 1953. Be carefull, the Cola Clan (now the Coca-Cola Collector's Club) reproduced these and gave them out at one of the conventions in the 80's. Not sure what the difference is.
Thank you very much Ray!
i saw one just like this in an antique store thought it was pretty cool but they wanted 60$, so i passed on it. if you dont mind me asking what did you pay for yours? or what do these sell for in this condition in the US?
Petrettis has an original valued at $65.
Killer Cocacolakid97! Always wanted one.
BTW, you were right on the Masonite sign of mine. From further research I did,
it appears to be a repro after all! Oh well, life goes on.
