This was a purchase from Japan. I know I read the ad so should have known it's size, but when it arrived my brain nearly exploded!
It is huge!
I have no idea if this vase is Japanese or not.
This style of vase; coloured glass, clear cased, and moulded into a bark like finish; was pretty common in the 60s/70s, so it could be from Britain or Europe.
I have seen similar from Japan, much smaller, and they usually have a Best Art Glass label on them. I think they are Tajima made.
I can't tell if this is one.
For now, it's sitting with my other Tajima, making them look small!
(They come in at 22cm max - 8in)
Height: 38cm (15in)
It's a pretty cool looking vase!!!!!
Vase envy (me and the other Tajima)! It's a fantastic color!
Love the color and texture ! :)
Woaahh! A beautiful monster he is!
Usually the surprise is to get smaller than expected when unpack... (oops, no pun intended!)
LOL Kyra! Thanks.
I can't comment more - might get me deleted!!
Keep it chillin' Scott. Thanks!
Vase envy - one of my regular attributes. Just getting others back SWF. Thanks.
Ta Mike. Almost file my nails on this one, but it does look good.
Oh WOW Karen! This is truly an amazing piece of ART glass! I love it!!!
Thanks again Rick. I love that you are always so positive about my glass, even when it is a long way from your style. You are clearly a man with a broad perspective of the world.
You're welcome Karen... like I've told you, I love your taste in glass, and your posts are always a treat!!
love it!!!
kyratango!! Go to confession!! ;))
Karen, what a gorgeous vase, I love that shade of blue, the texture, and the size must make it truly impressive! :)
Thanks Sean. Kisses.
She's a devil really that KT....don't let her sweetness fool you Katherine.
It is an impressive vase thanks K. It would be more impressive in a house of little vases, but that's not this house......
I love it! I would say more but everyone else already said it!
Thanks for the love and comment VL!
Purple-icous !!! Love it !!
