I found this item among a bunch of oil lamps at a flea market in Connecticut this weekend. I loved the shape and color – but I’m not sure what I have… I can’t seem to find anything like it online. It stands about 6” tall - and has two “seams” running down the sides. Both the top “sphere” and the bottom portion are hollow (like a jar). There are no threads inside or outside the top. Any thoughts? Is it an oil lamp base? Or something else?
nikki2zia that looks like the base of a Fenton Fairy Lamp I have , I still need a votive cup attachment for base which will then have shade that rest upon it . Your base is even the same color , "Pink Colonial Rose " produced from 1964-1979 Fenton Glass Co. . Go back to flea market and find the missing pieces , it is a old and rare piece.
LovelyPat, thank you so much for the reply! I can't wait to look around the web now that I have more info - and you bet I'll be back to the flea market this weekend! I had a feeling it was special - even if just to me. :)
I've posted a photo of mine so you'll know what to look for or refer to , happy hunting nikki2zia .
