I found these at Volunteer's of America today. Two really nice sterling silver rings. I took them to my jeweler friend and he verified the tiny pale blue topaz baguette for me. It's also marked .925 sterling silver with a 14kt mark for the bezel that frames the stone. It weighs only 4 grams and is too small for me to wear but I love the modernist-deco design. This was the bargain for today as it was only half price. The cameo ring on the other hand I looked at yesterday. It was a bit more than I would usually spent...OK a lot more, but I really liked it. It's a nice size and weighs 12 grams but still only fits my little finger. The jeweler said it was a gent's ring. Nicely made but the cameo is simulated probably resin. I was hoping bakelite or celluloid but it doesn't have the distinctive smell of those early plastics. It's marked "MWS" .925 Thailand. So I don't think either of these are very old just nice silver rings for my collection. -Mike-
beautiful rings!!!
Thanks Sean :)
The cameo would be a pinkie ring. It would only be worn by a gent on the pinkie.
Yep.... if fits my pinkie perfectly Celiene. :)
Very, very nice!
Thanks Bonnie :)
Good one Mike. :) Very nice. Congrats!!
Jammy, Mike.
Gorgeous rings. I really like the topaz....great shape.
Thanks so much One :)
Thanks Karen ....yes the topaz is an understated little beauty. Just wish it was big enough for me to wear, My jeweler friend told me they should be sized by a silversmith though if I decide to have it done. I'd have to go out west to find one of those...lol. :)
Thanks for the "love" and nice comment Lisa. Yes it is pretty but so pale you have to look through it to see the blue color. It just fits to the first joint of my little finger. Very petite :)
