Chinese Export Porcelain Yellow Ware Jar w/Applied & Painted Plum Blossoms & Single Butterfly

I found one example of a brush pot online, but no info. This is 6.5 inches tall with out lid, with lid 7.5 including stem.

This was part of a pair, but I only bought one because the other was really badly damaged. I don't know much about different Chinese porcelains. Is this a Jar or a Lidded vase? It is not exactly a Ginger Jar form.

Is this considered Yellow Ware? What form would you call this? Gourd? Melon? It is supposed to be some vegetable/fruit?, the lid has a stem.

All hand painted, applied white flowers with blue/green centers. A single flower was neglected to be painted in the center. Brown realistic 'branches' - I think they are plum blossoms. NO DAMAGE! One single applied Butterfly. Blossom decoration goes 2/3 rds round the jar.

The porcelain is a slight grey color, unglazed inside the vessel. And there is a lovely light 'rainbow' sheen on the piece. You may be able to see it on the lid. There is a horizontal line about 3/4 of the way up - like two pieces were connected. But the piece was thrown on a wheel, because of the concentric circles inside the piece. You cannot feel or see that horizontal line on the inside.

The lid's inside rim is much smaller than the rim of the jar, but the broken one was the same way. I think it was made that way. I can post a second post with more pictures.

Stamped in red CHINA - which is in very thick ink (?) because you can slightly feel it with your finger.

Any idea of ages? Rarity? Anything? THANK YOU!
