What is this called and how was it used? It was found in an old barn. It may have been used in harvesting or preparing cattle food or bedding.

I found out that it is a flax breaker used to process flax stalks into fiber for spinning.
They were also used as Ceg says, for the 1st breaking down process on hemp for rope.
