    Attic find. This item was found in a home built approximately 1925. The home contained items ranging in age from the late 1800's to the early 1970's. Apparently the family gathered family possessions from multiple generations.

    During its history, the property contained a hay barn, horses, a fruit orchard and vegetable farm. The house this item was recovered from was built approximately 1925. The owner was a carpenter and home builder.

      This tool is for lapping the valves in an automobile engine. The valve head had two holes for the forked end to mate into. Using a grinding compound the valve was turned back and forth to produce a smooth face.
