Can anyone tell me what this is

We have had this for a very long time, it looks like some sort of knife, sharp on both sides, Blade 3 1/2 by 11, has two handles one is a T handle and the other straight round , coming out at the bottom. We have looked in all books, on the net and ask many people but no one knows what it might be. My uncle was 102 when he passed and he did not know.
