This is a stunning Murano bird sculpture designed by Alfredo Barbini circa 1950's. It depicts two birds on branches as they prepare to drink the flower's nectar. It's is a well-made piece as evidenced by the deep ribbing and twisted branches as well as the applied open wings of the birds. The birds, as well as the the tree and base, are infused with gold aventurine. It's a fairly large piece measuring 13 1/2" H x 13" D x 5" W. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Ken. I'm not sure what you mean by more info on the sold part?
    11. Rick55 Rick55, 9 years ago
You can't post something on CW that is for sale or, I believe, auction. That's why I have to wait until an item sells before I can post it.
    12. Rick55 Rick55, 9 years ago
That's up to you. When I sell an item that I posted long ago, I don't remove it.

Thank you Rick and Gloria for sharing this beautiful piece and the information on the rules. I don't sell anything but am thinking about it. :)
Don't tell anybody but I didn't read the rules.
I really look forward to your finds.!!
    19. Rick55 Rick55, 9 years ago
Thank you so much OGF! I think the rule pertains more to new CW posts of items you're currently selling. From what I understand, CW doesn't want you using this forum to advertise your "for sale" items. Also, thanks for the love Anna!

@Rosie... Thanks, it is a beautiful piece, but I'm no longer collecting sculptures, so I bought it strictly to sell. As far as packing... I have Gloria to thank. She's been doing it for quite a while and is very methodical, taking her time to make sure everything is over-packed.

Thanks Lisa. Yes, I agree it's a great piece that I wish I had room for, but unfortunately my vases take up most of my space.
