I've been going to this antique store in Indianapolis for years. I usually walk in and walk out without anything, but on this particular day when I went in, there it was. I had to have it. It's dated 1932 and it's a porcelain pedastal sign. That's 79 years old. I'm positive it has the original base. It is so heavy that a strong wind wouldn't blow it over. Well I loaded it up and took it home and it looks great in the garage. Several people want to buy it, but I think it's a keeper.
thats a hard sign to find especially that nice

officialfeul: I never asked to buy it, but I didn't know you had it either. I guess I just fell into that group of several people, oh well. My birthday is coming up, lol. Great sign my friend. Now its time to get outside and put some more miles on that HOG!

I found a picture of my mother after her death. the family had a tourist camp on rt 40 ( national road ) near Richmond, IN. the picture is of the oil bottle lids nailed to an old tree. I have been told that the Tiolene oil company used it as a advertisement at one time. the time and date are unavailable. is there a value of this? thanks

You have an amazing collection! I'm not sure if you've ever been, but in Cincinnatti, Ohio, there is an absolutely amazing little museum that houses nothing but old signage. It's definately one of the coolest places I've ever been to. Thousands of them, everywhere. If you're ever in the area, you should check it out!
Thank you jrush99 for stopping by and commenting! If I am that way i'll be sure and stop, thank you again for the info.

I had one like this no lollipop stand though, I traded it for my 42 inch Texaco sign with the bullet holes in it. Great find.
