I purchased an antique treadle sewing machine, and I found this in one of the drawers. Can anyone help me identify this item? Above the heart shaped hole it has ORICH on it. Down one side it says PAT AUG 1819 and the other side OTHERS PEND. I would appreciate any help!
    Thank you!

I think it's a button removal tool. Just a guess.
