    I picked up this little beauty at a flea market in San Francisco today. i think it's really pretty! it's marked on the bottom, but i can' t quite make it out. i hope someone else can.

      the lady i bought this from thinks that it's french 'and something like Quimper', but it doesn't look much like quimper to me. it definitely is from the arts/crafts period though.

      I agree, it's really pretty!
      Looks like 691 to me. That would be a mold/design number. In the second photo I see what looks like an S. Put a piece of paper over the bottom and try to trace the indented areas with a pencil and see if anything becomes clearer.

      It looks like it might be german....
      possibly by elmshorn or schramberg or zell harmersbach
      10% possibility that it might be roesler as well
      It is difficult...
