Here's a set that I purchased from the relative of a WWII officer. It's from the German maker Marklin and was produced in the year 1946. Each coach box has the stamp "6" on it which means "1946" which is very helpful in dating Marklin trains. The set was sent in a large wooden create from from Sgt. G. Moeers 7711 of the 45th Air Repair Squadron in Hanau, Germany APO 757 to the United States. More info here:
