I think it reads CIVITAS LONDON ... a 'groat' ???
English, Edward III, AD 1327 to 1377.
Silver groat.
"Obverse: Head of Edward III forward, with EDWAR D G ANGL Z FRANC D HYB around.
Reverse: Long cross with two circles of inscriptions. The inner circle reads CIVITAS LONDON. The outer circle reads POSVI DEVM ADIVTOREM MEV (meaning I HAVE MADE GOD MY HELPER)."

If you look at net in 2011 Spinks sold a collection of 'groats' .... the Frank Brady Collection of Hammered Groats. Google it and it will send you to ISSUU where you can learn a lot about 'groats'.
Thank you !
