This ring came out of the local pawn shop. I have been looking at it for years. I finally broke down and bought it when my friend (owner) told me he is selling silver for 1 Euro a gram. The ring is about 3/4" in length. Marked 925 inside with silversmith's initials on the band.
Also bought a pretty art deco design ring and an interesting heart pendant with colored crystals.
Let me know if you recognize the design. Thanks! Bonnie
Wow, that is amazing!!!
I'd say Indonesian .... Yogya ???

vetraio50, I had thought possibly Jakarta. Seems the majority of the silver from Jakarta is .800/.835/.900. djokja.nl says that djokja silver isn't registered and carries no mark. My ring has the .925 stamp and also a silversmith stamp. Hmmm....
"Er bestaat geen geregistreerd keurmerk voor djokjazilver, en de kennis hierover is in Nederland misschien nog wel groter dan in Indonesië zelf. "
This is definitely a lotus design, though. :-)
Very unusual and bold design Bonnie!
Nice one! i would have guessed thailand, because it has the same face as a tempel guards...but any guess can be good ;-)
Look for Thailand yaksha
Thanks for your comments, everyone! I put photos on my FB page to see if anyone there might know. I have a one friend who lives in Indonesia and several others who are from the general area out there.
