Found this at a recent estate sale and have had no success googling for info. It is blank on the back and there is no information on the sleeve. It came in a box with several other metal rulers including a couple of Latrobe Electric Steel Co. 6 inch with decimal equivalents on the reverse and a Kearney & Trecker Corp. 6 inch in 1/32 and 1/64 markings.
This is a "common" precision steel ruler/measure often referred to as a "machinist's rule." New retail varies by brand from a few dollars to @ $25. Re-SALE value though is rarely more than $2 or $3 and often much less. The leather sheath is a nice addition. See eBay # 351640468265 for examples of these rules with corporate advertising on the back, which makes them desirable to certain collectors.
