I hope 4 photos show. This I believe to be a Chinese porcelain bowl was a farewell gift given by a Japanese family to my parents when they left Kamakura, Japan in 1956. It measures 8 inches by 4.5 inches. Would love input. I've always loved the blue cobalt color with gold painted design. I've never seen another like it in my online research. A gift from 1956, but believe it to be from Qing dynasty era? Thank you for looking.

The mark, rotated about 130 degrees clockwise reads top down and right to left: 'Great Qing, Kangxi, Period Make'. The Kangxi reign in the Qing dynasty lasted from 1662 until 1722. This appears to be 20th century production from China

for what it is worth i got an opinion here, so now i am in trouble because wexval is an excellent assessor but mistakes are expensive here, in case it could be real kangxi

well i think it aint real kangxi
the king mark in the mark is sloppy
      it,s a sand pressed bottom
there is no ferro sedimentation on the bottom

its a scrolling design with a longevity, i think this is a sort of late quangxu or early republic, its a bit crude , but it is not bad, there is market for this and this got reasonable value
