I believe this is a War World 2 lighter, it was made for the millity or was in the army rashion packs.

I cant find any info on it or any other photo's that come close on what this is.

You can email me at horsepet at tpg dot com dot au

    Thank you.

I believe you're right about the time. Check under "trench lighters". I think you'll find something there.

Rather than trench, I think it is a bakelite purse lighter around 1920/1930 :-)

Thanks for the thanks, welcome to CW :-)

I think it is made out of Bakelite, it sure looks and feels like it .. you see in my photo's on the end of the lighter, both ends it has the map of Australia and the Kangaroo.

In a sort of a way yes but its one of a kind so far, still NO answer or can I find one like it on Google.
    7. HatMan, 9 years ago
Still no one has come up with any details, it might have to go into the Unsolved Mystery.

They are indeed but NOT like the one I have.
Those one's are not even close, the only thing going for them that they are lighters.
Thank you for your reply but no help so far.
    10. kyratango kyratango, 9 years ago
HatMan, you may try to post it on a lighters collector site, perhaps someone will be more helpful than we are...

Its made in Australia OR for Australian army NOT .. Austrian !!
    13. HatMan, 9 years ago
      Thanks to all that looked.
Still no idea of who, where or when.
There is none else like it, so it just MAYBE a one of a kind or VERY rare.
