Fascinating vintage 14k yellow gold golden topaz dome ring. Very unusual setting. I was told it is from the 1960's. It is a gorgeous open ring that allows the light to saturate the natural stone. The top of the ring measures .77 inch wide X .6 inch tall at the top and weighs 7.4 grams. Excellent craftsmanship and mint condition. Engraved: 14 585 plus European hallmarks, but I can't read them. Tried to get my best shot of the hallmark, but it's still hard to make out. Any ideas who might have made this type of ring in mid-century time-frame? Thanks!
Wow very unique and beautiful! Kind of makes me think of the cartoon, "The Jetsons".
Great ring! Do you have a jeweler's loup? If so, hold that against your camera lens and use the automatic focus. You should be able to get a clear, close shot of the marks. I tried to enlarge the photo but it becomes blurry.
Hi Efesgirl! Thanks so much for the suggestion!! I don't have a jeweler's loup, but I do have a little watchmaker's magnifying tool. I will break that out and see if I can get a better picture of the mark. Thanks, again!
