Antique Gold Earrings - All Gold Etruscan Revival Victorian/Georgian Era HAND Filigree Earrings w Ruby Gems
These at least 21.9 K all Gold Earrings are a fine example of the Filigree technique which can be traced back 5000 years and is one of the oldest art forms developed by man. It is completely hand crafted and requires hours of concentrated work twisting fine, thread like wires of precious metals into highly ornamental lacy designs. Gold Filigree is becoming a lost art.
Victorian (could be Georgian) era Hand Wrought Gold Filigree earrings in an Etruscan inspired design of twisted wire and gold balls.
A lot of work and fine craftsmanship went into making these earrings.
Filigree panels, each centered with a tiny Rubies Gem are joined together forming an elegant dangling 3D Orb
A hand made panel attaches the orb to Gold Studs which are not Hallmarked at all but acid tested for at least 21.9K Solid Gold (this acid can I determine the highest gold content and higher material I have not in my possession).
The front 3 panels are each made up of filigreed panels which hold 4 Ruby gems. The upper part around the wounded fine gold wire has another Ruby in the middle part. Incidentally, just as the upper part of the earrings. All made from fine gold wire.
Good total weight at 10 grams.

The second pair of earrings are made (also no hallmark) of (acid test) 14K yellow gold. They are delicate and graceful and in the lower part is a cushion-shaped cut Garnet.
This is all I know to tell them. I am very grateful if you can tell me more about these earrings ?? One of my questions is what is the name of this form of the Etruscan earrings ?
