This is from the Victorian period and has to be my most unusual rose bowl. The décor is pink, blue and olive green spatter between a white inner and a clear outer casing with mica inclusions. The clear rigaree is a crimped daisy pattern.
This is my only Welz rose bowl from the Victorian period. The final picture shows it with my Art Deco Welz rose bowls. Thus it's in a minority in spite of the fact that Victorian Welz is much easier to find in the UK than Art Deco Welz

How could it be any more feminine Peggy!?
Oh my gosh, Peggy - how lovely is this one? And I agree with Karen - so feminine! The brass frog is its crowning glory. I just love it!
So sweet. This might be a good compny for your rose bowl.

I've been watching it for more than a year - nobody wants to buy it and a seller doesn't want to sell it abroad.Stalemate.
amazing Ivonne your finding. Yes the essence of feminity
@ Karen, it couldn't, though I'd love it more without the rigaree....
@ Michelle, I agree the décor is pretty but it does have a lot going on. I've come to think it may be uncommon and I love it for that.
@ Ivonne, it certainly would....I like that décor too. How frustrating that you can see but can't buy!
@ kivatinitz, as you say, the essence of femininity.....is this becoming a ladies club :)

This is gorgeous, one of the prettiest spatter colour schemes I've seen...also very impressive that you have the metal frogs for all your rose bowls - spare ones seem to be very hard to find. For all the rose bowls I've seen missing their frogs, there must be a secret stockpile of lost frogs somewhere - probably where all the lost socks are! :-)
I do appreciate your comment! There aren't that many of us who are into this stuff. Metal frogs are a problem.....I think people discarded them when they became tarnished. There are standard sizes as far as I can see so it's possible to borrow one from another piece for a group photo. I used to buy anything cheap with a frog just for the frog. No longer economic sadly.
