Many apologies to all for not keeping up with things here. And being that I don't want to complain I think things might be best to say that for the last few months, I feel like I'm am the author of the 'Murphy's Law' book! I love coming here to share and enjoy the good company. I hope you all understand.

I've put 3 little things together in this one post since at the moment, and probably for a moment, I have a working computer and camera...

The first is a "Long neck" porcelain cat from Italy. It's hand painted 'fresco style' which is a very long process. It's painted while the subject is still wet, they crush the colors and add them to water. There are layers after layers done in this manner as they wait for it to dry each time. It's like the same process as the paintings of the renaissance artists that paint murals on the walls. And yes, the ceiling too. 6" tall and from the 50's.

All I can say about the fish is one is hand carved jade. He's 4" long and for his size, he's pretty heavy at about half a pound.

The last fish I was hoping would be Murano, but eh, I just don't know. It's all good, this one matches my colors well with the turquoise and cobalt blues.

Thanks to all ahead of time, I'm honestly not trying to be rude.

I adore your cat - so Italian! Look at the face!? Just missed eating the jade fish I think.
They all have great faces....look at the glass fish's excitement at finding a fish next door!
Who made it? Someone clever - could well be Murano.

I love them all. But, the cat and the fish would be my favorites of the three.

Karen, thanks for stoppin' by. I'm not much of a cat person but had to get this one. I have to stop doing that, I have got to whittle down what's already here! It is where I get my kicks tho ;)

Nicefice, I figured it was time I get a couple different things, other than the elephants I have. Thank you for the love and comment. Very sweet.

Hey Mr. J!!! How you been?! I actually had another cat up with them but it's so tall I couldn't get it to fit in the pic right unless I stopped and took another shot. You see where that's at. Thanks for your kindness!

Cute cute cute! I have two long neck dogs from Italy. One is a Dalmatian and the other appears to be a Terrier of some sort.

EG...I didn't know they made dogs too! Please post when you can. I bet the dalmation is a QT...haha little plug pun... It makes sense that they would make others as well as cats. Thanks for the love and comment!
