I picked this print up At an estate sale today. I do not collect prints but I found the colors and subject appealing. At first glance I figured it was some sort of print, however, the colors almost seem too lively. I now am wondering if this is a colorized photo...but then the clothing of the subjects would be too dated. Any help is appreciated!

I love it -- and the frame itself is stunning !!

He looks like a Pilgrim Man.....LOL...at least I think so.

Hey! This is pure Dutch. Pilgrim ? "Me not thinks so ". Scene: probably late 1700's. (Because the glass is not too wavy).

Colourized print would be my opinion. Artist called Bartlett did many colourized prints. http://www.ebay.com/itm/W-H-Bartlett-The-Presidents-House-from-Washington-1839-19th-century-print-/141878533237

If the frame is important to you, you might think about patching the two broken pieces.
"When carved or intricately molded frames are chipped or have small pieces missing, you can build up the missing sections with modeling paste or gesso
(both are sold in art-supply stores). Use a flexible painting knife to pack the compound into the crevice and shape the material to match. You can also use a toothpick, the point of a small knife, or even your fingers, to mold the compound. Allow it to dry hard, then use a small emery board to finish shaping the patched section."

Thank you. I do love the frame. Thanks for the suggestions on repairing it.
