Original Title: Haitian recycled Steel Drum Wall Art with mirror?
Original post:
Talked myself into going back to GW for this the other day, since it was "old fart" discount day and all. Paid $5.26. I am calling it what I did because that is the only thing that keeps coming up with my crazy Google searches.
Here are my ...hum's?:
I could only find one picture of the back of any and it didn't have a mirror. However the signature was on the back which I read on an Ebay post that is where they sign them. This one is definitely signed on the front. Only similarity was the signature on the back did have an = with it. I don't know what that means. :(
Next, I googled the signature with little success. I do not know what the (' backwards J means). :(
Then the mirror caught my attention because it is 1/4" thick. I think that is a good thing. :) The mirror is 10-1/2" round. The metal piece measures 23" top to bottom and 23-1/2" side to side.
The last thing I noticed is this piece does not look as detailed in the metal work.
Thanks for looking and any information.
Oh and here is one of the links I was looking at.

Apparently ,that is what it is - a Wild Haired Woman mirror. Yours is missing the earrings.

Another reference is "Rasta Mama".
It's fabulous.
Here is another made by John.

Bonnie! Are you a rasta queen too? :-))
O.G.F., your mirror is a cool piece!
Geez Efe, you are so dang fast on details. It's taken me 3 days. LOL But my piece does not have holes for the earrings. It has larger holes for hanging which by the way I do not see on any pieces on the internet.
Awe, thank you for the links Phil!! I will do my homework as I was focusing on the signature way too much for way too long. Thank you again.
Thanks so much for the loves, info and comments: Efe, Emme and Kyra. :)

OGF - I just googled the photo you put up and there is was. :-))

I think we can all relate. Maybe I'll take a pic in that mirror in the morning. Haha - NOT!! Thanks again.
