We were given this sign and we really know nothing about it. There is no date on it. It is porcelain over metal and in perfect condition. We have it up in our store and have had several folks try to buy it. We don't want to sell it, we love it and want to know more about it.

I am confident that this sign is from prohibition 1920-1933. In order to survive beer companies resorted to making ice creams and malt extract which was promoted to be used in cooking at the time. If indeed it is original and in such good condition it would be highly prized and collectable.

I agree with the prohibition age period. For a porcelain sign collector this sign has everything they look for. Condition, color, die cut, etc. If I were selling it I would start it out with a $1500.00 reserve, and expect it to take off from there. What are the measurements of the sign.

The sign is 15 by 22. We never thought it would be worth that. Cool.
