I think my parents received this as a wedding present and that would have been in the early 60s. I think it's an ash tray. It is very pretty and of substantial weight. Not sure of the material. Any information is appreciated.

That beauty is a vintage Murano Venetian glass bowl. Please don't stub a cigarette out in it :-))
