Thanks Karen for letting me know. Apparently my post has been featured by CW. Thank you CW
I feel like a kid in a sweet shop...yum yum :)
I know, but the colours reflect fall like the yellow post reflect Easter (in my mind.) :)
Looks like a glass bouquet. Beautiful! Love it! :)
Hi Fran, yes a little like a lolly shop....a representation of several years now of collecting. I think adding the Murano collection pieces add an extra dimension. I'm hoping to get some more unique Tango items. Trouble is everyone thinks their items are by Michael POWOLNY from Loetz and other era's. If everone of these items were made by him, he would have needed to produce 200 items a minute. The market isn't understood. I've watch it every day of my life for 4 years but still have loads to learn. But I've seen a lot and you start to get a feel for what's right and not. So many ppl think Tango is retro from the 50;s and 60's and it's not. You could even say that some items produced in thr Art Nouveau period could creep into the Tango definition.
For years there has been talk that a big collector is producing a definitive book on Tango. I wish she could publish it soon as I'm very keen to see it. Would also ike to contribute but I have no idea the format she will run. She might only photograph her own items....
Thanks again Spirit. A lovely way of seeing it.
And to OGF thank you too.
F-A-B!!! About 45 or so years ago, I had my first mescaline experience in Arizona. Very Spiritual (ty Quicksilver Messenger Service & It's a Beautiful Day)... I encountered, for want of a better word, a "God". It looked a lot like the first pic (now where are my glasses?) lol
for once I'm lost for words!
thanks Valentino for bringing this one to life again. I was so proud of this rather impromptu photo of my reds collection. I've added another 5 or 6 reds/oranges since this one and have another two large jugs coming from a great dealer friend in NY..... :)
