Just another thing from a shelf in my room....LOL. Family item. I am just getting now to find any info on it....as it was collecting some dust. Marked on it of a maker of:

Oh, and YOU have to check out this out Catolgue of their Cast Iron Stuff. Great reference on OLD cast iron from Barn Door hands, shelves, fire tongs, etc, etc. A must for any collector of cast iron to check it out. It is:

Looks like the handle comes off on this one. That is what makes it smart as you can heat the iron without heating the handle.
@ FORT -- Lol, now that would be Dumb to heat the handle....so they were Smart!! LOL
Very interesting!I've got a collection of cast iron and brass irons.They're of different construction . As with yours some have wooden handles and some metal ones.
