Recently a very kind collector sent me a gift box to cheer me up during a rather rough time and it had some Tango in it as he knows I adore Tango..... And it worked...I've got more reds and oranges than yellows but I've got two more arriving this week so thought I would try and work out a bit more order. But no, they'll probably get placed in amongst this lot. It's such a shame I didn't remove the plaster and do that wall cavity dispay I've seen. You don't realise how much you have until it's all pulled out. This one goes 6 deep of vases....
For those who are interested I start a new drug called a Parp Inhibitor with Oral Chemo. The drug is still on trial and the only way to use it is via a trial with a chemo as to buy it costs around $13,000 a piece.... !
Just popped in fresh shot
Another scrumptious post, Anne. I love the tremendous variety you have, I love enlarging your shelves and trying to see them all! This time I'm taken with the small hexagonal vase, tall neck, pink spatter, top shelf. I have one, blue with pink and white streaks but can't find another one.....yours is so you! Wishing you well...
The Wednesday is yellow - great!I've got just one - with a black veining.
So beautiful and the display says it all ! Take care Anne and all the best :). -Mike-
That is a very nice friend you have.
AnneLanders, good luck with your chemo. I have some idea what you're going through. Best wishes.
I keep you in my prayers :)
Beautiful collection.
Good luck. Great pics.
Oh gosh lots of loves and replies...
The last shot looks like I've hardly got anything lol. It's really heavy on the other side and I pulled some down to sell, like a yellow hobnob vase as it was a bit dull.
Thank you Peggy...please email me annelanders@gmail.com and we can exchange photos, I'd like to see yours as it's a really unusual one. I love the shape. I only bought it a few wees ago and still unsure what I think about it. I wss at first disappointed in the size. I ws then angry that it wasnt old. But I think from memory it has made in CZech, I'll have to get up and see! Now it's quite grown on me. The weight is good and it's beautifully made and clever how the shape has been done. Thank you again for the lovely comments.
Ivone "Wednesday?" I'm sorry but I don't quite understand what you mean.
Thanks Mike as always...
Thank you Emme, you are so right, he is a lovely friend to have given me the footed vase, it's just lovely...I don't know whether to ask but have you been unwell too?
And thank you Martika and Ian..
Hopefully my two yellows will arrive so so I can take some decent photos to have a bit of fun with...
Yes, Anne.
I am sad to hear that Emme and hope that you are currently well and recovered. I am unfortunately in the metastactic group but hey, that's life pardon the pun.
I will look now at your collection and see if we share interests. I have found Tango glass most uplifting. I'm unsure why my addiction to glass and porcelain vases gives me so much joy I think it's just their ongoing living beauty that I admire. xxxxx
Anne, your beauty shines through the glass and you share that so willingly. May your higher power heal you and Emme as you continue to fight your battles and allow you to shine on.
Thank you for sharing. :)
Anne,I start my day drinking coffe and watching what's new on CW.It was just Wednesday's morning and this yellow gave me a lot of joy and energy.Sorry, for beeing too enigmatic:(

Anne, I find scandinavian art glass uplifting, as it holds the light even when it is a dark day.... I thrift shop as it is an inexpensive passtime and a diversion from my reality-- I too am metastatic with few options, but I am doing well.
Emme- yes youre right, the light in the glass is beautiful. But also some of brooches I have with solid colours in the glass make me happy too.
Hmm, yes, options...I just did 9 months of Carboplatten which was good, hardly any side affects. Just going on a trial in two weeks with a Parp Inhibitor and a chemo. The first trial failed but they adjusted the dosage so fingers crossed it will work as it attackes the cancers DNA,
Sorry everyone else but I felt it's important to say to a fellow collector...
Spring joy!
lol@Spirit, thank you
Yes knowing the friend who sent it as a gift, the beauty is evident and most likely Loetz. I'm not interested in its value which is why I posted it in here as its a keeper as they say. I'm interested in the maker only for research purposes. :)
