Standing around 9 inches tall, this vase/decanter looks a lot like Blenko 50's glass to me. It's thick glass and an amber colour. It has no sticker or blast mark so I'm not sure. It has quite a flat top rim so it's difficult to say if it's lost it's stopper, or wasn't meant to have one.
Can anyone please help to identify this, I just can't find this shape.

As a guess, I'd say not Blenko. But that's just my opinion, not fact. All of my Blenko pieces still have the slightly rough pontil mark. None of them have been ground out. Does that mean it can't be Blenko? Not necessarily. It just makes it less likely. The pontils were left intact most of the time unless the design featured a ground base or the rough pontil made the piece unsteady.

Not Blenko. It's not how they finish their pontils.

Thanks for your opinion it's very much appreciated. Following up your info, I'm just thinking of possibilities. The shape is not completely symmetrical, there's a bit of a bulge on one side, could it be a rejected piece with the Blenko mark ground out....do you know if they normally put the mark on the base?

On second thoughts, I think it's just not Blenko. Thanks for you're advice.
