This is another one of my bridge lamps. When I was working a man came up to me and heard I loved antiques. We started talking and he was getting rid of some of his moms things because she had passed away. He invited me over to look at some things but I really didn't care for anything until the lamp caught my eye in the trash pile. He was going to throw this lamp away because it didn't have a shade and it needed rewiring and it had so many coats of paint on it. So I took this out of the trash pile and took it home. First thing I did was strip all the coats of paint off of it and left it natural. Then I rewired it and last thing I did was go to Greenfield, Indiana and get a shade made by Ursala. I brought the lamp back from the trash and it sets in the living room to enjoy for many many more years.
