I typically avoid the early states-- so, pretty much the entire East Coast of the US-- when collecting as it's hit and miss with value and rarity, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a Delaware bottle up here in Michigan.
I talked the man down by almost half (to $14) on it today at the bottle show. So here is a nice 1870s-1880s squat soda from Wilmington, Delaware.
The proprietor was William Foord, who died in 1895. He seems to have bottled for quite a while, but I've done only very light research on it.
I picked this bottle also (just Delaware wouldn't cut it; sorry, guys) because of two massive bubbles-- one right in front where I want it, behind the embossing, so it displays well (I like bubbles.)
