This little tea pot is actually only about 6" tall and was fired upside down as I noted the glaze drip going upwards. There are not many online examples and nothing for sale that I could see, so I'm happy to show this one. Pic 3 shows it's true colours. Of the 4 characters on the stamp, the left one reads Zhung which means 'Middle' the next one reads as Guo which means 'Country'. So middle country which in theory means "This is the center of the world". I can't decipher the 3 character, and think maybe the 4th says 'Mountain'.
Putting all that aside, Enjoy :)
Just love the glaze.
Thank-you Everyone ! for the loves. I was just looking at pic 4, and Boshan might actually be Bo-Shan or Bo Shan. I agree racer4four, the glaze is lovable and thanks for loving it :). I can feel the 'upward drip' I spoke of on the brown only. Maybe it was double fired? to get the tan glaze on there? I don't know much about it and still learning.
Hello! I just found a teapot that closely matches this one at a thrift store. I wonder if you found out more about yours. Mine is quite tiny (maybe 350 ml?). :)
