    The Handy Things Mfg Co started in 1920 and as the name states they made handy things. Mostly kitchen pieces along with a retractable laundry line. Eventually they were best known for Christmas tree stands in the 1970s. .
    This piece is a glorified pair of tongs that came at the huge price of 39 cents. Having done an A/B comparison test with ordinary tongs these are much nicer than ordinary tongs. As can be seen it deftly handles a potato.
    No solid information on when this made. Looks to be 1930s-1940s by the box art.
