I bought this bridge lamp in a consignment shop last year for $20. I believe it's early '20s, perhaps a bit earlier. Cast iron base, some sort of metal for the rest.
I gave it a good cleaning, brightened it up with two shades of metallic lustre wax, and rewired it, adding a glass shade from a local hardware store. I was delighted to find clear lamp cord with gold filament so, wrapped around the pole, it's barely noticeable. This was my first attempt at restoring a vintage lamp and I'm pretty pleased with the results. I now have two more to be restored.
great job on the restoring the lamp!!
You did a great job on restoring the lamp. It looks terrific! Is the twisted upright pole portion hollow in the middle or solid? If it's hollow you could pass the wiring down through it.
Looks great!

Thanks guys! georgeg3, the pole on this one is solid. All of my other ones have the hollow pole, but this one is the oldest and has the twisted solid pole. Luckily the cord is barely visible due to its colour, so it's all good. :)
