These usually sit on my bathroom window sill gathering dust, so after I washed them the other day I decide to take some photos.
The pagoda bottles in pic 2 are both from Hoya.
Beautiful crystal, fantastically cut and with a cut design on the back of stopper to represent a pagoda.
Unfortunately the big one has suffered some damage but I don't mind.
The larger one is big at 21cm tall (8in).
The next two I am pretty sure are also Japanese.
Both from cut crystal, one with an intaglio flower cut into the back of the stopper, the other stopper facet cut.
Like the Hoya both have ground glass necks and stoppers.
The last two are both from Orrefors.
Again cut crystal and with ground stoppers but both also minimally designed in that Swedish way.
In the group shot there is also two pressed glass bottles, one with a metal framed hinged lid, the other with a little ground glass stopper.
Love them.......Just hate the * D * word......Dust ...LOL
Really nice!!! Kinda looks like Malaysian temples, to me. ; )
Each one a delight! Perhaps all collectors have these 'sub sections' that exist on bedside tables and window sills.....
These are all so cool Karen especially the Pagoda ones. :).... I do collect the odd perfume bottle here and there. I should group them together as well and take a picture. I mix them in with my paperweights.
Rose - dust breeds here I am sure. Really my glass would be much more beautiful if I washed it regularly but you know, time, couldn't be bothered, next week, blah blah. Thanks - glad you like them.
Ken the flower is lovely for sure - thanks sweet man.
Blade - Malaysia hey. Those Hoya people got mixed up obviously! Thanks mate.
Peggy - collectors are strange and collect lots of stuff. I have many, many sub sections. Good point! Although you seem particularly disciplined - congratulations! And thanks.
Thanks Mike. Yes please - show your perfume bottle sub section (as Peggy calls them. I like it.)
Mudwoman thank you! They achieve those terms only now they are clean :)
Lovely perfume bottles, Karen :-)
Very nice collection :)
Beautiful collection Karen! I looove the tall pagoda!
stunning collection!~!
I have a pagoda from my Mom.
Wonderful collection! Being swedish I tend to live the simple style of glass :) so to me the pagoda and the Orrefors bottles stands out in design. The pagodas are detailed but still in a elegant simple way. The whole collection looks great together! Good job!
Love not live :) even though I prefer to do both :) :)
A lovely collection I know my mother would be jealous of!
She has the same bottle as your big pagoda one, but it has the Eiffel Tower engraved on the stopper. I wonder how many different versions there are?
Love/live always go together Elisabethan! I too love the artful simplicity of Swedish glass. Thanks for the love and uplifting comments!
Rikuson the Eiffel Tower one sounds interesting! I have not seen one like that. Thanks for the comment and love.
