Hi! I recently bought an old doll at a local yard sale and would appreciate any information on how old it is. I have researched everywhere and have been unable to find one like it. The picture I posted was one that I found that closely resembles the head, but mine is 20" in circumference and the body is made up of some type of small knit netted material and stuffed with a gray yarn substance. The doll is 23" inches from head to toe and cute as a button! Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the info...I'm still not able to find one with the brown material body mine has, though...maybe handmade?

No it's compostion. Some companies made the legs together, Cameo movable legs. Look up Kewpie and look at the hands too. It's not home made though. The first were bisque, then came compostion.

Take a picture of it without the clothes, and a full body shot

No I don't give out my number. I see this is for sale on ebay. I have to say however if there is only one picture I don't see it doing well. A doll collector will want to see the condition of the whole doll

Thanks again for the info...I understand about you not wanting to give out your number...this pic is from ebay...it's the only one I could find that had the head like mine...the body is different, though...I'll have to get someone to take a pic for me that I can post for more clarity...thanks again!
