It was December 1973 Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Grand Opening of the MGM Grand Hotel, I was there with friends and the place was jumping! Dean Martin the icon himself and member of the Rat Pack was headlining the show with high rollers everywhere! The night will always be a remarkable memory and I acquired a Special issue $25 Dean Martin .999 Silver casino chip tossed to me by a high roller as we walked pass the dice table! Was it Dean himself? I'm not sure but I have kept this chip for 42 years now and I have seen only 1 other on Heritage Auctions and it was blue with silver, this may be the only one left in the world!

Wherever you display this treasure, or whatever it's in (frame, shadowbox, whatever), make sure you write your story with it, and sign it!! Great keepsake!

Thank for the nice comments, I used to carry this chip in my pocket for good luck when playing blackjack & poker, then to my dismay after moving one year I misplaced this chip for 10 years, I found it in a box of stuff I had put away when moving to my new house and what a relief! It came back home to The Vegas Kid,
I never thought I would see it again.
