This cat is over 50 years old!

This cat / resin figurine was a gift from a friend of mine. It's origin I really do not know but from all the homework and all the studies that I have posted with it it is said to be part of a collection that is on display in a museum on the East Coast somewhere? I still have not found anybody here in Salem Oregon that can give me any more information about it because it is way out of their league from what they say. It is too old for them to appraise it they do not have or know how to appraise it. I saw a show on American Pickers that had something similar I don't remember exactly what episode it was but I do believe it has some worth. I myself am trying to find someone who is trained and does have the knowledge on how to appraise this figurine cat / resin figurine.
