A humble paper towel holder but it seems worthy to go on the wall where it can be seen. The previous one was under the cabinet and will soon be on its way to the thrift store.
This one seems to have been repainted in a similar ivory color to the original paint. There are brush strokes and it would have been spray painted. On the underside the original color can be seen along with a bit of rust. It is a bit darker.
Embossed in the center is "ACME" and underneath is "TOWEL HOLDER" with "Patent Pending" on the very bottom.
Seems a shame to cover it with the paper towels.
This also came in other colors such as the aqua green color.

Nice to see something old that has been unloved for a long time put back into use, even if it is something as simple as this.

Hmmm, I wonder how Wile E. Coyote used this to try and catch the Road Runner??? {;>)

Thank you very much Gruff. There were many Acme companies that are unrelated making various products. The name put them at the top of phone book listings.

My thoughts exactly elanski. Vintage paper towel holders are something I don't see often.

Thank you very much NevadaBlades. He got his ears caught in it while it was hanging from the top of a tunnel and then a truck hit him.

LOL!!! I can just picture that! Poor Coyote, I always felt sorry for him, but was glad, also, that the Road Runner always got away. ; )
