Found these 2 survivors here in albq. The family says they came from a franciscan mission of a pueblo, but grandmother was not sure which one. St. Anthony measures about 3ft by 2ft and has what appears to be 5 repairs to possible bullet holes. Our lady of solitude is slightly smaller and in better condition, no bullet holes. Any input as to material used( paint?, burlap?), age ect. I appreciate any help. Thanks

these are very interesting retablo. i think they are New Mexican retablo which differ from the Mexican ones which are almost always done on tin. The New Mexican ones are usually done on wood, which makes these even more unusual. The saint is San Antonio de Padua.
