Antique 1870's African Cherry Brass Strapped Jewelry Box Beautiful Color of Exotic Wood

This is from the 1870's and belonged to a relative that came over from England in the early 1900's.I've seen a lot of real nice things made from exotic wood but never anything made from African cherry that's a beautiful reddish blonde color.It didn't look like this when I got it.It had sat for years and I spent several hours over a weeks time polishing out the wood and brass strapping.Whoever made this was a real craftsman.The wood has been notched were each brass strap is so there's not any nail heads showing and the brass is inlaid flush with the wood so the top and sides of the box are completely smooth without any nail heads.The top compartment that's removable and bottom are covered in a real soft dark purple almost blue velvet.
